Our Family's Favorite Meat Loaf
Meat loaf was a family favorite especially with our son who has CF. It was also a favorite with me as I could make it one day ahead and bake it when I got home from work.

Ingredients
- 2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 c bread crumbs
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 red sweet pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 tsp ketchup
- 1 c milk
- 2 strips bacon
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Step 1
Mix meat, crumbs, eggs, salt, mustard, ketchup, milk, onion, Worcestershire sauce and sweet pepper in a large bowl.
Step 2
Put mixture into a loaf pan.
Step 3
Place bacon strips on the top, then pour the tomato sauce over.
Step 4
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
