"Choose one inspirational quote or motto that has helped you throughout your journey with cystic fibrosis. How do you live by your quote or motto and how has it motivated you to accomplish your goals?"

"Never give up," has been my motto for my entire life. Living with Cystic Fibrosis is a daunting task that sometimes takes all of my energy just to get through the day. On the days that are extremely tough, the phrase, "never give up" always seems to whisper in my ear. It's at that moment that I dig deep and find something within myself to always keep fighting. Giving up means that l loose control of my life. Giving up means that I let Cystic Fibrosis have the upper hand in my life. Even though I am tasked with fighting CF everyday of my life, I must never give up and let it win. By never allowing my disease to win, I have been able to achieve way more than I thought possible. One of my goals was to run a half marathon, and it was only possible because I kept telling myself to "never give up." Every day of training I kept telling myself, "never give up," and two months later I was able to complete my goal of running a half marathon. In the future, I may have many tough that make me want to succumb and let CF win. I know that my motto will never let me down. If I always believe in my motto, I will be able to achieve all of my goals. I must never give up fighting to overcome CF, and I must never give up hope that I can achieve anything.
